Exodus 31:17-18 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. 18 And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.
“The Sabbath a sign between God and His people forever.”

Ezekiel 20:12 Moreover also I gave them my Sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.

Hebrews 4:4-10 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. 5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. 6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: 7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. 8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. 9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. 10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
“The Sabbath symbolizes our rest in Jesus trusting Him for our salvation.”
Refers back to the O.T. A certain day is specified, which we should not harden our hearts against. Jesus never spoke of another day, so “there remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.” (some versions specify Sabbath rest.) Only using verses 4, 9 & 10

Luke 23:56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.
Law not nailed to cross, disciples kept comm.&ments after His death.

Luke 24:1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. Disciples worked Sunday.

Matthew 28:1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. Women came to tomb on first day.

Mark 16:2 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. Women came to tomb on first day.

Mark 16:9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. Jesus rose first day.

John 20:1 The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.
“Mary visits the tomb while it is yet dark. (Note- the above texts certainly cannot possibly indicate any sacred attachment by early believer to Sunday since they did not even know @ that point that Jesus had risen).” No Sunday attachment by early believers indicated, since they didn’t know when Jesus rose.

Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
“The symbol of the resurrection is baptism by immersion, not Sunday worship.”

Acts 20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
According to Bible reckoning, a Sabbath evening meeting, (see Gen. 1:5,8,13, ect.) Paul travels Sunday.
“ As has been brought to my attention, this also is a proof text for Sunday sacredness. To determine if this is truly proof for Sunday sacredness lets, by Biblical standard, establish what a Biblical day is. Turning to Gen. 1:5, 8, 13, 19, 23, and 31 a day in the Bible is “the evening and the morning were the _________ day.” Concluding, today in our modern world the day they were actually meeting on is Saturday evening through the night and into early Sunday morning. John 20:19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. Disciples assemble for fear of Jews, not Sunday observance.

1 Corinthians 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. “BY HIM” means privately in your home. (Some translations note this) These Christians kept Sabbath holy, & usually balanced their accounts Sunday – good time to plan giving.

Genesis 2:1-3 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. “God blessed the Seventh-day Sabbath @ creation.”

Romans 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. Our love for God leads us as obedient children to keep the law.

Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Jesus came to fulfill the law, not destroy it.

Romans 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
When we come to Christ, through His spirit He enables us to keep the law.
